Spring 2018 Registration Overrides

The Override Request Form for Spring 2018 is now available at http://ist.gmu.edu/go/override. If you need a standard override for a course, you must complete this form. If you know you will need an override, please submit your requests early to ensure your override is entered before your registration day!

Overrides AREĀ needed if

  • You have a substitution or waiver for a course that is a prerequisite for a course you wish to register for in spring. You can view your substitutions/waivers in your Degree Evaluation;
  • You wish to register for a Bridge Course *Override requests for bridge courses must be entered no later than 5pm on 20 December 2017* You may register for bridge courses through 04 January 2018.
  • You need to make a third attempt at a course. You MUST meet with Dr. Islam, the Associate Chair, in order to obtain this override. Email him at kislam2@gmu.edu to request a meeting. Please DO NOT submit an override request via the system for third attempts.

Overrides ARE NOT needed if

  • You are currently registered for a course that is a prerequisite for a course you wish to take in spring. If you do not pass the current course, you must drop the subsequent course before the spring term begins. If you do not, you will be administratively removed prior to the start of the semester, and you will be responsible for any financial repercussions of the schedule adjustment.
