Robert Latiff is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology.

In addition to teaching in the IST Department, Dr. Latiff is the Research Professor and Director of IST’s Intelligence Programs at GMU. He provides research in support of U.S. intelligence agencies as well as development and presentation of academic programs designed for the U.S. intelligence community. Before coming to GMU, Dr. Latiff taught at Notre Dame.

A retired Major General in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Latiff is an expert on systems engineering as well as defense and intelligence issues. He is currently President at Rlatiff Associates, LLC and has served as Vice President, Chief Engineer and Technology Officer at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

Dr. Latiff’s research interests focus on the intelligence community. He received his Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials  Science, an M.S.in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, and a B.S. in Physics all at the University of Notre Dame. He is currently pursuing a M.A. in Humanities at Georgetown University.
