Information Technology with NSA/DHS Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/Cyber Defense Education Criteria Certificate

Students completing the Information Technology, B.S. with a concentration in Information Security are eligible to earn a NSA/DHS Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/Cyber Defense Education Criteria Certificate. The certificate is awarded by the department at a post-convocation ceremony.

To be eligible for the certificate, students must complete the following courses within the Information Security concentration:

  • IT 342
  • IT 366
  • IT 429
  • One of the following: IT 352 or IT 467
  • One of the following: IT 353, IT 357, IT 369, IT 462, or IT 466
