Advising

The Department of Information Sciences and Technology has a staff of professional academic advisors to help you navigate your degree requirements and support you during your academic journey, helping you make the most of your Mason experience.

Schedule an Advising Appointment (Virtual and In-Person)

Students may schedule virtual academic advising appointments by using the IST Academic Advising Scheduling System.
Appointments are available as far as 15 days in advance.  If no dates/times populate after you select the appointment type, our current availability has already been scheduled. Please check frequently for cancellations and/or new availability to populate. Alternatively, you're welcome to email your questions for assistance.

BS INFT, IT Minor, or CERB INFT Inquiries: BSIT@gmu.edu
MS AIT, CERG ISCI, or CERG ACBS Inquiries: MSAIT@gmu.edu
MS INFS inquiries: MSINFS@gmu.edu

Students will be contacted via their Mason email addresses prior to their appointment with instructions for joining the virtual meeting.

In-person advising is also available. Students interested in meeting in-person will need to schedule an appointment with a correlating advisor on a day they are in-person, making a note in the reason that they wish to attend the meeting in-person. If no note designating "in-person" is included, the appointment will be conducted virtually.
