IT 369- Data and Application Security

IT 499 002 (Data and Application Security) is now known as IT 369, and is considered a course in the INFS and DTP concentrations. It also is valid for DHS/NSA certification seekers! The course covers SQL injections in depth, as well as the theory and practice of targeting systems as well as performing basic penetration testing against them. The course also considers in-depth analysis of how data and application security play a role in the Internet of Things, as well as Industrial Control Systems and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (those that control stop-lights, electrical grid, etc.)

Please consider signing up for this course if you are in good-standing and have had IT 207 and IT 223. IT 214 is also strongly recommended, but not required.

IT 369 – Data and Application Security

Introduces concept of data and application security. Discuss challenges of database, and application and industrial control system security.

Prerequisite(s): IT 207 and IT 223. Prerequisite enforced by registration system.
