Charles Howard

Randy Howard is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology.

Dr. Randy Howard, PMP, CSM, is Principal Enterprise Data Architect/Engineer/Scientist at The MITRE Corporation. 

Dr. Howard has supported various agencies across the intelligence community, the Department of Defense, and other federal agencies to innovate data engineering and architecture, data analytics, and systems analysis practices to solve wicked, intractable problems. 

Dr. Howard develops partnerships between corporate and government stakeholders to further their endeavors. He is currently writing a book titled “Navigating Wicked Problems: Going where traditional systems engineering fears to tread.” In the book, he details data-driven methods to gain consensus across disparate stakeholder communities with conflicting and competing objectives.

Dr. Howard holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from George Mason University. He holds a Master of Science and a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University.
