Emanuela Marasco, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology.

Her main research interests include Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Computer Vision and Biometrics. In her research, Dr. Marasco focuses on automatic interoperability enhancement between optical fingerprint sensors, image de-identification of soft biometrics, liveness detection of both slap fingerprints and finger marks.

Dr. Marasco earned her Ph.D. in Computer and Automation Engineering, in December 2010, and her M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, in March 2006, both at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy).
