Greg Gardner
Gregory C. Gardner is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology.
A retired U.S. Army Colonel, Professor Gardner commanded The Old Guard and served as Chief of Staff for the Ministry of National Security and Defense, Coalition Provisional Authority, Baghdad, Iraq. After working as Vice President for Strategy at Oracle Corporation, Professor Gardner returned to government service as Deputy Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Intelligence Community. He is currently Chief Architect, Defense and Intelligence Solutions at NetApp.
Primary research interest for Professor Gardner is Information Technology and the impact of smartphones in organizations. He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point; an M.S. in Industrial Relations at the Krannert School, Purdue University; a Masters of Military Art and Science at the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies; an M.S. in Strategy at the Naval War college; and is currently completing a Ph.D. in Information Technology at Capella University. Professor Garder has a professional certification in Certified Information Security Systems.
