John McLaughlin
John McLaughlin is an Instructor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology.
Prof. McLaughlin specializes in security, engineering project management, and senior design. He is the senior Executive Cyber Security Architect at IBM. Prof. McLaughlin is a highly accomplished senior executive officer and advisor with more than 25 years of success with information technology applied to the hardest of U.S. Federal problems. He is an expert in risk-based approaches to cyber security, critical infrastructure protection, and high-risk program management and maintains a deep understanding of national security intelligence perspectives. Prof. McLaughlin is a Distinguished Architect with The Open Group and a member of INSA.
He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University and a M.S. in Computer Science from University of Southern Mississippi.
