IT 104: Test Out

IT 104 is a course in Computer Science fundamentals, Internet and Web Page basics, office applications, and social and ethical issues related to computing. IT 104 satisfies the General Education requirement for IT Literacy.

Mason will accept the “Information Systems” test offered by the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) with a credit-accepting score of 75%, i.e., 60/80.

You can find a list of all Mason-approved CLEP Exams, or you can view general information about CLEP exams.

If you believe a course you took at a prior institution is equivalent to IT 104, but it was evaluated as IT —, please submit a Transfer Credit Re-Evaluation Appeal form to istdept@gmu.edu for review. Note: ITE 115 through the VCCS is not equivalent to IT 104 and will not be reevaluated as IT 104.
