National Security Connections
Mason is designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/Cyber Defense Research and Education by the Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency.
Mason’s IST Department is a vital resource for educating and training the nation’s intelligence community. Those agencies fund much of our faculty’s research.
IST has also designed and developed a graduate certificate with courses in intelligence technologies tailored to aspiring government staffers and contractors.
